SPT produced a full line of Hammer Union Seals for use on flow lines. These Hammer union Seals are designed to seal on a Figure 1502 unions with typical pressure ratings for standard service of 15,000 PSI and are tested to 22,500 PSI. SPT seals also produced a line of HNBR Hammer Union Seals for Sour Gas Service. The standard Hammer Union Seal is produced from an elastomer; however, SPT Seals produces a line of HUS seals with Brass backup rings as well as a line with stainless steel backups. So no matter what your application requires SPT Seals can produce the seal you need. For other material configurations or nonstandard sizes contact your SPT Seals sales associate.

Description
The Compact Seal is a double-acting seal and guide element comprising an elastomeric profile seal ring, two
back-up rings and two guide rings. The profile seal ring seals in both the static and dynamic range whilst the back-up rings prevent extrusion into the sealing gap. Thefunction of the guide rings is to guide the piston in the
cylinder tube and to absorb transverse forces. The design provides a compact seal and guide combination for a
closed or split installation groove.
Designs
The Compact Seal is available in various profile geometries
which are in practical use. The choice is normally
determined by the existing installation grooves.
